PHIL HORN
Phil brings with him a wealth of Project and Engineering management experience gained from over 12 years working within the global Aerospace Engineering sector to deliver a multitude of high value projects, with a focus on providing innovative solutions and establishing collaborative relationships with clients.
In 2018, after having his passion for design, architecture and the built environment reignited whilst undertaking a self-build renovation of a 400-year-old barn; he returned to education to study a Masters degree in Architectural Technology and Design. He also made the decision to relocate to the Cayman Islands managing projects for a large on-island Construction Company.
Whilst in Cayman, Phil has delivered a variety of high-end residential projects and amenities, managing all aspects of the build including design coordination, supply chain, and subcontracting whilst providing hands-on field experience. Phil has also worked closely with CI Government Planning and Building Control teams and understands the complexities and processes involved when obtaining planning permission and building permits in the Cayman Islands.
Phil has a comprehensive knowledge of modern methods of construction, sustainable design, and project administration. He takes great pride in using his experience from other industries to provide a fresh perspective on construction and design projects. Phil looks after all of DBM’s design work; using his knowledge of construction processes, specifications, and his eye for detail to work with clients to develop and implement their ideas into a turn-key solutions.
